FAQ's
Why Wagsville?
At Wagsville your dog will have a home away from home. We are family run and will treat your dog just like our own. We have a 5 acre property where the dogs have lots of room to play off leash in our fully fenced fields. The fence is 6 feet high and buried 1 foot deep for extra safety. There are lots of shaded areas to chill out on hot days.
The dogs are supervised at all times when outside. We group the dogs by size and energy levels.
The dogs sleep in their own rooms in the climate controlled kennel building.
Do you provide dog food?
We can provide kibble (Pedigree Vitality) for $2 per cup, however we highly recommend that you send your own dog food. It is better for your dog not to have any temporary changes in their diet. We have a freezer and fridge if your dog is on a raw food diet.
We recommend you provide more food than usual. The dogs tend to burn lots of energy since they will be running around much more than they normally do.
How are the dogs fed?
Dogs are fed separately in their own room located in the kennel building. Fresh water is available at all times
Where do the dogs sleep?
Dogs sleep in their own room located in our climate controlled kennel building
Do you have emergency Veterinary care nearby?
Yes, there is a Vet on Bowen Island and Barash is a certified canine first aid attendant through Dogsafe
How far in advance should I book?
We are a small operation and fill up very quickly — especially for the Christmas/New Years Holidays, March Break, long weekends and the summer (June 1 to Labour Day). For Christmas/New Years and for March Break we recommend you book around 6 to 7 months in advance to avoid disappointment. You can book up to 1 year in advance.
